Why does my screen turn black when I download a minecraft mod and the screen turns black?

Every time I download this mod on minecraft when I try to start it up and log in on the launcher my screen turns black. I don't know why it does this and when I search for minecraft files on my computer I don't find any. I tryng to download deep space turtle chase.

As the others have said delete the META-INF. If you have done that and it does not work. Delete your .minecraft file and try reinstalling the mod. To install it make sure you have the proper pre-mods installed. ex. Modinstaller, ModLoaderMP, AudioMod. Run minecraft then install the main mod in the instructions provided on the Forum about the mod.

You have not installed the mod properly..... go back into the main directory folders....

go to start menu and in the run bar type %appdata%

go into the .minecraft folder

go into the bin folder

right click the minecraft.jar open with winrar archive (you may have to dl and install, IT IS NEEDED)

in this minecraft.jar you want delete the META-INF folder

since that folder isnt deleted you are not able to install mods, delete that folder and you should be good

Make sure to delete the META-inf folder in your minecraft.jar.

Some mod installers like the Yogbox will do this for you, but most of the time you have to do iut manually.
