How do you let your friends in to your minecraft world?

My friend and I would like to know how you would be able to do 2 player in my minecraft world. Just him and I in my world I made myself. Please tell me we are are a newbie to the game and we have Beta. And if you can do just 2 player can you talk to each other with turtle beaches or something or is it just text Thx for ur help!

Depends if you want a 24/7 with great connection, or just one you guys set up by yourself from time to time with horrible-great depending on your computer and internet connection.

To set up your own go to:
http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp
and download:
Minecraft_Server.exe
minecraft_server.jar
and follow the instructions given.

To have a hosted one with great connection go to:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewforum.…
Then find one you want and pay about 4$ a month for a recommended 4player server.

To upload a map to a hosted server you have to create a folder for it then upload all the files one by one (depending on your hoster) at least that's how I do it =P.

If you host it of your cpu, then just put the file in your minecraft server folder. (MAKE A FOLDER ON YOUR DESKTOP)

Then change the properties file to world-"name"

Get teamspeak to talk, or just text in minecraft.

For a server, since its only you and your friend You could set up a server on your computer. you could use hey0 or bukkit Just follow instructions on how to make a server there. bukkit - http://wiki.bukkit.org/Setting_up_a_serv… hey0 - http://wiki.hey0.net/index.php?title=Get… You could just copy you world folder into your server and set it to be the default world to be used in your server For chat, you have the text chat in-game or you could use skype or something to have a voice chat

You need a minecraft server inorder to play online with eachother. And thats something that you have to pay for but you get your own private server :) But to talk you would skype because there isn't any voice chat in minecraft, only text chat.

I don't think you can. The only way you can play it with someone else is to play online.
