Ive just brought a custom built gaming pc and want to get the real version of minecraft. I was just wondering if i download minecraft, using my laptop, and put it on a memory stick so i can play on my gaming pc. I dont want to put any card details into my pc but i can put card details on laptop.
+ would multiplayer work?

Hi, here's the best way to do it where you can still have your worlds from your other computer.
1. Make sure you have internet to get onto minecraft.net
2. Go to minecraft.net, log in, and click download
3. If your computer says are you sure you want to download click yes, there is nothing wrong with the sight
4. Once its downloaded then you go to the start/windows button in the bottom left corner of your screen
5. Click My computer and click on the search tab
6. minimize the screen partially and click and hold the minecraft labeled file onto the computer desktop
7. After all that you should be able to just click that icon and it will pull out the minecraft startup screen in a mini screen where you can maximize it
Hope this helps! :-D
Happy playing!

Yes, since all the files are in one folder, (including your last login) you can put it on the memory stick or whatever. Then transfer it onto the laptop, if you have the correct version of java and stuff installed, Single Player should work. Multiplayer should work if you have internet and the server you want to join is accessible.

Alright, you can play from your memory card but it will write something on your new computer. The something is the .minecraft folder. It holds all of your saves, mods, texture packs- Basically all the data needed to play minecraft.

It would work, but your saves (worlds) wouldn't be on your gaming pc
If your gaming pc doesn't have internet, than you have to copy this folder onto your memory stick
C:\Users\kwoel\AppData\Roaming\.minecr…
This folder also contains your saves.

Why not just download it and login on the new PC? I'm assuming it has an Internet connection, as you are asking about using it for multiplayer.
