I'm using my friends minecraft account, but I want to get my own so we can play together and so on. But I've spend hours building my world (which was kinda stupid in retrospect). So is there a way I can transfer this old world to my new new account?
Answers:
You can go into you run and type in %appdata% then find the .minecraft folder and then find the saves file in side of it find the world you want and just copy it. Then you can put it in an email or on a flash drive. Then all you have to do take that file go through all the steps again on the other computer and paste it in the saves file :)
run>%appdata%>.minecraft>saves>copy the world

If it's a PC then use the search on the Start menu and type in %appdata%. then "Roaming", then ".minecraft". After that double click on "saves" and look for your world. Then drag it onto a thumb drive and transfer it to another computer. P.S. If you are logged into his account on your computer and that's where you have your saves then you have nothing to worry about. The saves save you the computer, not the account. So I can log on as someone from say 3,000 miles away from me and still have my worlds that I used on my computer. Hope this helps!

The worlds are not attached to your account, they save to your computer so to transfer worlds put it on a memory stick (they are found in your .minecraft folder ) To get here go onto the start menu and type : C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roamin… copy and paste that
